About Mountain Mercy Ministries
Mountain Mercy Ministries, Inc. (“Mountain Mercy Ministries,” “MMM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Florida nonprofit corporation recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Website Information
This website provides information about our ministry, programs, charitable activities, volunteer opportunities, and ways to support our work. Website content is provided for general informational purposes and is not legal, medical, financial, mental-health, or other professional advice.
Mountain Mercy Ministries is not an emergency-response provider. If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911. If you are experiencing a mental-health or suicide crisis in the United States, call or text 988.
Requests for Assistance
Submitting a request for assistance does not guarantee that assistance will be provided and does not create a contract or entitlement to services.
Assistance is subject to Mountain Mercy Ministries’ charitable purposes, eligibility standards, available resources, safety requirements, and ministry policies. Mountain Mercy Ministries retains discretion and control over all assistance decisions.
Website forms must be submitted by an adult. Information concerning a child must be submitted by the child’s parent or legal guardian.
Donations
Donations are made to Mountain Mercy Ministries, Inc., not directly to any individual, family, volunteer, officer, director, or employee. Mountain Mercy Ministries retains exclusive legal control and discretion over donated funds, subject to any donor restriction that the organization has expressly accepted.
A donor may request that a contribution support a particular established ministry program. Mountain Mercy Ministries will make reasonable efforts to honor an accepted restriction. If a restricted contribution cannot be used for its stated purpose, Mountain Mercy Ministries may contact the donor to request permission to redirect the contribution or may issue a refund when appropriate or legally required.
Contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by federal law. Donors should consult their own tax advisers concerning their individual circumstances. Unless a receipt states otherwise, no goods or services are provided in exchange for a donation.
Online donations may be processed through Zeffy, Stripe, or another third-party payment processor. Any optional contribution or tip made to Zeffy is separate from the donation made to Mountain Mercy Ministries.
Refunds and Recurring Donations
Charitable donations are generally final. However, a donor may contact Mountain Mercy Ministries within 30 days to request correction of an accidental, duplicate, or unauthorized donation.
Mountain Mercy Ministries may issue a refund when:
• A donation was made because of an error or mistake;
• A transaction was duplicated or unauthorized;
• An accepted restriction cannot be fulfilled;
• A refund is required by law, Zeffy, Stripe, or the applicable payment network; or
• Mountain Mercy Ministries determines that a refund is otherwise appropriate.
Canceling a recurring donation stops future scheduled payments but does not automatically refund donations that have already been processed.
Refund or cancellation requests may be sent to mountainmercyinfo@gmail.com.
